Midweek point for Lichfield

The game starts quickly as  Brendon Bunn spills a shot and James Harding’s rebound hits post and rebounds in opening the scoring.

An excellent touch from Jack Edwards puts him one on one with keeper but shot was saved

During the press, Jamie Spiers dispossess the Racing Club defender but pass into box is cleared

Cutting inside, Edwards shot from distance parried away for corner

From a wide position, Edwards cross was almost in but cleared of line by defender

After a foul on Edwards, James Wilcock stepped up for the penalty smashes it bottom left

Down the other end, Aaron Opoku shot to the back post turns to a good pass as Harding turns it in.  

An instant response,  a John Mills deflected shot deflects into the top left corner over the keeper, equalising.

Just before the end of the half, Joe Haines heads on a corner for a shot but an excellent close ranged save by  keeps it level Sam Lomax

Starting the second half, Edwards receives the ball from Jamie Spiers but his shot is smashed wide.

An excellent solo play, Luke Childs lays off Wilcock but his shot strikes the cross bar

Gaining momentum, Jamie Spiers nods ball down to Edwards but his low driven shot is saved

Nearing the end of the game, Edwards’ ball round the back found Brown but his shot around the keeper hits the post, agonisingly close

Really attempting to get the three points, Ben Jevons wins header playing Edwards but his half volley is blocked 

In the last Lichfield play of the game, Edwards’ free kick to back post finds Leighton Mcmenemy whose header hits the post
